Have you tested at ECU connector pin 24 & 30 to see if there is voltage when cruise is switched on.
Ok I've re-read it a few times and are you saying the last two digits of the six digit code are always zero and never 1? I'm not completely understanding what your issue is, if you were looking at my screen shots from the topic I previously linked you to, what one is yours not matching?ĭoes vag com show any fault codes relating to the cruise? (we had a bad stalk on one fit and it threw a code in vag com). Also if the fuse I've taken it from blows the glow plug warning lamp flashes so you would be visually warned as to why the cruise isn't working in theory. Yeah I took the 12v feed from the 15amp fuse in the ECU box, partly because it was easier, and also the wiring diagram shows a 15a supply for the cruise. Everything is as it should be, except for those missing 1's at the end of the binary code. I've checked the connections and measured the feed from pin 5 on the stalk. My VAG-Com shows changes in both pedals' state and all the buttons on the lever (or stalk, as you seem to call it). I don't have static 1's, static 0's is the problem. The pedal connected feed is what factory uses, they say.
I tried that and I tried to take the feed from 75X, which you can find from the drivers side connection station (atleast on the version with left side stearing). The difference between those connections is that in ACF version the +12 VDC is to be taken from the brake or clutch pedal (Green/Black-wire). Basicly there's all the same stuff as in what BladeRunner wrote. The ACF topic is in finnish, but the information on connections is written in english. See the sticky thread in this forum, and link at the end of my posting there to the original discussion. If you have a permanent 1 somewhere is could be a faulty switch (clutch or brake or wiring issue etc).ĭo you have a link to the Finland cruise topic? as I tried to find info on this for ages, but ended up working it out myself in the end. Have a look here towards the end of this thread where I posted screens of all the cruise binary changes. Have a look at this thread, its got the meanings of all the bits in the cruise readout which I figured out when mine wasnt working. The login has been made and the value of it changed (group 6, field 4) from 255.0 to 0.0.
The CC's connected the same way the other guys have done it and it works on them. The last digit should turn from 0 to 1 when the CC activates.
On group 6 field 3 there's a six-digit binary code. The commands from the lever reach the ECU and they can be read on Vag-Com Meas. I'm wrestling with some troubles on my own '97 AAT.
One of them dug a bit deeper on the subject and came to conclusion that older (pre-95) ECUs don't have the needed software capabilities built-in. Guys of Audi Club Finland have posted instructions for retro-fitting cruisecontrol for C4 TDI. I Have Genuine Vag Com Hex Can 2+2, Vag Tacho & Snap-on Modis latest software Gib knows a lot more about this but I think the earlier cars (100's) had different ECU voltage for at least some parts or functions so I'd be careful swapping ECU's about.Ĭan you try finding someone with vag com to double check the login issues?
No i am using vw 5051b as i work in a vw garage i suspect this audi is too early as the ecu will not login plus there is only one maesure block that can be read which is 0ĭo you know the part number for the m reg as i could check against mine regards Timbo1 Managed ok with vagcom on my 1997 and my brothers aat m reg. I have fitted the switch and loom to my friends audi 100 2.5 1993 does any one know if i require a latter ecu as i can not log in or read mvbs.
